GP Patient Survey

Why have I been asked to complete this survey?

This national survey takes place every year and is conducted independently by Ipsos for NHS England to ask about your experiences of your local GP practice and other local NHS services and includes questions about your general health. The survey includes questions about a range of topics, such as how easy or difficult it is to contact your practice, the quality of care received from healthcare professionals, and experience of NHS services when your GP practice is closed. The survey also includes questions assessing experiences of NHS dental and pharmacy services.

The answers we get help the Trust to improve our services. It is important that we hear about your experiences even if you haven’t visited your GP practice in a long time, or if you have filled in a questionnaire before.

When does this survey take place?

The survey is sent out every year in January and runs for three months.

How does this survey work?

The survey is sent to a random selection of people; approximately 2.5 million people registered with a GP in England. There is also an option to complete the questionnaire online.

How is my feedback used?

Each year, following publication of the survey results, the Trust’s GP practices (Market Weighton Surgery, Humber Primary Care and King Street Medical Centre) each develop an action plan to make improvements resulting from the feedback received.

Sharing your views and experiences helps us to continuously improve our services and provide the best possible patient experience.
