Granville Court
Granville Court is a specialist nursing home for adults who have profound and multiple learning disabilities alongside complex physical health needs that require nursing care to be constantly available.
The home has 18 beds across 3 bungalows. 2 of the beds are for respite care to enable families to continue to support their loved ones in maintaining their caring role.
The home is supported by a multidisciplinary team including the nursing team, Speech and Language, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and an Epilepsy Specialist Nurse. The focus on the service is to enable people to have a life well lived and loved and there is a vehicle to enable residents to engage with social activities outside of the home.
To access the home, referrals are through the local authority care management in both East Riding of Yorkshire and the Hull locality or the reflective Community Learning Disability Teams.
The Team
Although the home is a specialist service within Humber’s Learning Disability Service, Granville Court is not a hospital and the ethos is very much that it is a person’s home for life. Granville Court sits on its own private gardens and enjoys a pleasant coastal position in Hornsea and the home has an important role within the local and wider community
The service is able to provide palliative and end of life care through the dedicated specialist nursing team within the home.
How to access the service
