We’re providing free NHS Health Checks for Yorkshire Coast and Wolds

Our fantastic YOUR Health service are delivering a series of free NHS Health Checks for 40–75-year-olds in the local area.

Summer clinics have been set up for delivery from Alfred Bean Hospital, Driffield, and Hornsea Cottage Hospital, to help our local communities check in with their health, with ease, at a place local to where they live.

A free NHS Health Check comprises of cholesterol, Body Mass Index and blood pressure checks, additional support to create a bespoke lifestyle improvement plan, as well as signposting and onwards referrals to relevant community services where required.

Ryan Nicholls, Team Leader, said:

“Our teams deliver free health checks so our local communities have accessible opportunities to get a snapshot of their current health. The clinics give people a chance to better understand areas which could be improved, advice to support a positive lifestyle, as well as onwards signposting and referrals to get the support you may need, at the right time.

Come along to one of our clinics, where you will be welcomed by an expert on our friendly and approachable team.”  

Both clinics, at Alfred Bean and Hornsea Cottage hospitals, are available 13:00 – 17:00 every Friday.
