We have been shortlisted for two HSJ Digital Awards!

We are delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted for two Health Service Journal (HSJ) Digital Awards.

These nominations come as welcome recognition of the hard work achieved by Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust’s Neurodiversity Team, who are in our children and young people’s division, and Interweave team, who are involved in the integration of shared care records across Yorkshire and the Humber and beyond.

The first award shortlist is in the Optimising Clinical Pathways through Digital category, for our Hybrid Neurodiversity Assessments project.

This project acknowledged the high numbers of neurodevelopmental referrals for young people across NHS organisations, and how new ways of working were developed to deal with this at a local level.

Working in partnership with parents, the independent sector, and the Owl Therapy Centre, the team developed a unique digital diagnostic pathway which enabled paediatric autism assessments to be completed within our local communities.

“Being shortlisted for the Optimising Clinical Pathways through Digital award is credit to the hard work and dedication our neurodiversity diagnostic team have showed over the last few years. When developing and embedding the hybrid assessment model, the team demonstrated partnership working at its best, as well as essential innovative practice, which allowed us to face the unprecedented demand and continue to provide high standards of care to young people and their families locally.”

The second award shortlist is in the Digital Clinical Safety category for Championing Clinical Risk Management and Safety Culture.

From the outset, this programme of work committed itself to working with our partners to prioritise patient safety and ensure accurate, secure data sharing.

As the programme seeks to connect various systems and sites, the team recognised the importance of creating a community of Clinical Safety Officers (CSOs) and experts. Working closely together with their ICS partners, the Interweave team dedicated itself to improved working processes and upholding clinical safety as the golden thread the runs throughout all that they do.

Winners will be announced at the HSJ Digital Awards ceremony on Thursday 6 June.
