Our Trust Communications team are shortlisted for Communications Initiative of the Year for their innovative recruitment marketing campaign, ‘Humbelievable’. The campaign aimed to find, attract, engage, and nurture talent before they applied for a job supporting the Trust to recruit crucial NHS staff.

Rachel Kirby, Marketing and Communications Manager, said:

“The Humbelievable campaign was about putting our fantastic dedicated and diverse teams front and centre so that they could tell the world why working at our Trust is special. I am delighted that its success is being celebrated on a national level.”

Our Specialist Treatment and Recovery Service (STaRS), based at Townend Court in Hull, have been shortlisted for Community and Primary Care Provider of the Year. The STaRS team provide mental health rehabilitation interventions to adults who have complex and challenging mental health needs.

Jayne Hebblewhite, STaRS Team Leader at Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust, said:

“This nomination recognises the determination and commitment the STaRS team has shown in supporting the development of a hybrid service to promote mental rehabilitation across the Hull and East Riding communities. They have shown true resilience and we would not have achieved this without their amazing teamwork and willingness to share knowledge and expertise with one another. I hope they’re very proud of themselves.”

Our Trust has also been acknowledged in the shortlisting of the Humber and North Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership for the Integrated Care System of the Year. This shortlist recognises our mental health programme focusing on maternal mental health and the overall integrated care framework for children and young people.

Michele Moran, Chief Executive, said:

“I am delighted to see Trust work recognised in three categories at this year’s HSJ Awards. This is fantastic recognition of the hard work and resilience shown by our diverse teams, and reinforces our commitment to providing the highest standards of health and social care to the communities we serve.”

HSJ editor, Alastair McLellan, added:

“On behalf of all my colleagues, it gives me great pleasure to congratulate Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust on being shortlisted as a finalist in three categories. All of the applications represent the ‘very best of the NHS’ and often leave our esteemed panel of judges with an impossible choice!

Year on year the number of entrants continue to rise which I find so encouraging and is testament to the effect that HSJ Awards can have on improved staff culture and morale.”

Well done to all our services for their hard work this year, and to all our fellow nominees for this fantastic achievement. We look forward to celebrating with you at the ceremony later this year.
