Our Trust has been awarded Highly Commended in the category of Place-Based Partnership and Integrated Care for our Right Care, Right Person initiative at the prestigious Health Service Journal (HSJ) Awards 2023.
The awards, now in their 43rd year, are among the world’s most fiercely contested health service awards, attracting hundreds of entries from the NHS and its partners. The ceremony held yesterday at the Evolution Centre in London, celebrates the outstanding contributions of staff and organisations across the healthcare sector. Hosted on the night by Editor in Chief at HSJ, Alistair McLellan and guest host Matt Lucas.
Matt Lucas is well known for his TV comedy, notably ‘Little Britain’ and more recently ‘The Great British Bake Off’. He hosted with humour and a clear admiration of the company he was in.
The Place-Based Partnership and Integrated Care Award category identifies organisations which have worked together to build an integrated system at a place level. The judges were looking for evidence of strong and collaborative partnerships which lead to demonstrable improvements for patients and citizens.
The Right Care Right Place initiative was recognised thanks to the collaborative approach which Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust have taken from the outset and continue to follow with the regular concordat meetings bringing in every stake-holding organisation. The collaboration and relationships built between all agencies as part of this initiative are fundamental to the success of its implementation in the local region.
Adrian Elsworth, General Manager of Mental Health (Unplanned) at the Trust said, “To be recognised in this way for our work on Right Care, Right Person is testament to the exceptional relationships we have built and maintained. I am personally very proud of the entire team and the partnerships we have built”.
Michele Moran, Chief Executive, said, “We are delighted. This recognises the dedication and commitment of our teams in ensuring we are delivering the right care to our patients. We are particularly proud of the collaboration we have between our Trust and the organisations who collectively make this initiative work cohesively”.
Congratulations to all the finalists and winners at the HSJ Awards 2023.
