Professor Mike Cook, MBE to retire from Trust Board

Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust has announced that Non-Executive Director, Professor Mike Cooke, MBE is to retire from the Trust Board at the end of August 2021 after five years in post.

Mike joined the Trust in September 2016 bringing with him over 30 years’ experience in NHS provider leadership roles, most recently Chief Executive at Nottinghamshire Healthcare.

Mike retired from a full-time career in 2016 but has since been involved in a range of other commitments including Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, University College London, University of York, Mentoring and NIHR Research Support.

Mike said: “It has been a privilege to be a part of the NHS for 38 years and I am proud that my final appointment was at Humber. I have gradually stepped down other commitments and this marks the start of my retirement allowing me to spend more time with my family.

I would like to thank Sharon, Michele, the board and everyone at Humber for an enjoyable five years. It has been a pleasure to see their growth and together we have achieved a great deal.”
