North Yorkshire Adult Weight Management Success

If you are looking to lose weight and want to have a healthier lifestyle, join Scarborough and Ryedale Districts most successful weight-loss service.

Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust’ North Yorkshire Weight Management service are looking for people who are ready to begin a healthy lifestyle and lose weight in 2020. Following the first year success totalling 2,584kgs weight loss, the service has added to this and the current running total is a phenomenal 4.5tonne – the equivalent of 10 small fishing boats.

The service provides a FREE 24-week group and one-one support across the Scarborough and Ryedale District. These are held in Scarborough, Whitby, Filey and Robin Hoods Bay.

Natalie Belt, Trust Service Manager said: “The past two years success is great and the changes people have made are amazing, but we continue to strive to help more and more. With the continued support of the regions Clinical Commissioning Groups and North Yorkshire Public Health Team we aim to continue this and add to the weight loss total”.

Adult obesity is on the rise nationally and is a major factor in long-term health conditions. As a service, the North Yorkshire Weight Management want to buck this trend regionally and help people live a healthier and happier life.
