Neurodiversity Service Update - November 2022

The Hull & East Riding of Yorkshire Children’s Neurodiversity Service paused the acceptance of Request for Support Forms to the Front Door Team on 22nd August 2022, for an initial period of 8 weeks.
The has allowed us to listen to your views and experiences, including what is needed to ensure that support is provided in a safe, effective and timely way.
A phased re-opening will commence from 21st November 2022. A more detailed statement outlining these plans will be available by 10th November 2022 and will include information on how to request support.
Please be aware that this temporary change to the front door service does not affect the ability to access services which make up the Neurodiversity Service, including Autism, ADHD, Learning Disability, Sensory and Sleep services.

Referrals into Humber neurodiversity services
Please note that from Monday 24th October, referrals for ASD and/or ADHD assessment will not be accepted directly from parents and carers.
Instead, referrals for ASD and/or ADHD assessment will only be accepted from the following professionals:
- SENCOs
- Educational Psychologists
- Paediatricians
- Speech and Language Therapists
- Portage
- Health Visitors
- Providers of neurodiversity services including the Sensory Service
