Local NHS Trust joined by Team GB’s Lizzie Simmonds at their Annual Members’ Meeting

Every year, Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust opens its doors to the public to share what the Trust has achieved that year at their Annual Members Meeting (AMM).

This year’s event will have even wider appeal as they are joined by former Team GB swimmer Lizzie Simmonds who will give the keynote speech. Lizzie has competed at two of the Olympic games, including London 2012, but since retiring from competition she now chairs the British Olympic Association’s Athletes’ Commission.

As well as Lizzie, there will be presentations from Rt Hon Caroline Flint, in her role as Trust Chair and a look to the future from Chief Executive Michele Moran. The event will include talks from other members of the Executive team, and also our Governors. The variety of information given at the event means there is something for everyone.

Before the presentations start, the AMM will open with a Market Stall Event (1:00pm – 2:00pm), where attendees can find out more about our services. This is a great opportunity to see the variety of roles and services within the Trust and speak to the people who deliver them.

The AMM is set to take place at The Lecture Theatre at Willerby Hill, which is where the Trust’s Headquarters are situated, on Wednesday, 18 October 2023 from 2.00pm until 4.00pm.

The AMM gives local people the chance to learn more about how one of their local NHS Trust operates and what they do. It’s also an excellent opportunity to meet Humber’s leadership team and hear about the experiences of NHS staff who deliver their multidisciplinary services.
