Good Morning Britain’s Resident Doctor, Amir Khan, is set to open our Annual Members’ Meeting (AMM) on 6 October 2022. The meeting is open to the public both virtually and in person and is an opportunity to hear what we have achieved in the past year.

Dr Amir Khan is the Resident Doctor for ITV’s Lorraine and Good Morning Britain, and the host of Dr Amir’s Sugar Crash and You Are What You Eat. Dr Khan will be sharing his thoughts on life as a GP and facing the ongoing challenges in health and social care.

Our Chief Executive, Michele Moran, along with other members of our executive team, will talk to the audience about highlights from 2021/22, including how our teams continue to work resiliently following the Covid-19 pandemic, how we have performed against our key targets, and future challenges that lie ahead.

This year, our AMM returns with a blended approach, available to attend both virtually and in-person at the MKM Stadium in Hull.

The event will take place on Thursday 6th October 2022, 13:00 – 16:00.

As part of this, the AMM will mark the launch of our new Trust Strategy, an important statement of who we are, what we do and why it matters. Our Strategy was developed by working closely with staff, patients, engagement groups and community members. It is our goal to create a strategy that is relevant to the patients, carers and families who they support.

The meeting will include a Market Stall Event (13:00 – 14:00), where attendees can find out more about our services and learn about the brilliant work they do across Hull, the East Riding and North Yorkshire.

The AMM gives our communities the chance to learn more about how their NHS Trust operates and it’s an excellent opportunity to meet our leadership team, hearing all about the experiences of NHS staff who deliver the multidisciplinary services locally.

Dr Amir Khan, said:

“I am very much looking forwards to joining Humber at their Annual Members’ Meeting in October. It will be a great chance for me to speak about my experiences and meet their teams who work in health and social care, to learn more about the fantastic services they provide.”

Michele Moran, Chief Executive at Humber Teaching NHS Foundations Trust, said:

“I am pleased that our AMM is back for another year both virtually and in person, and that we have an exciting agenda. The AMM is a wonderful opportunity for people to come and hear about what Trust services are in their local area and how they are delivered. As always, we are open to sharing our learnings, successes and experiences with you and we look forward to seeing you there.”

Anyone is welcome to attend the free event. General release tickets will be available from Thursday 22 September. You can get them on the Eventbrite page here.

Alternatively, you can join virtually and watch the AMM live on the day, on our YouTube Channel.
