Follow My Lead scheme is Highly Commended at the HSJ Patient Safety Awards

The HSJ Patient Safety Awards ceremony took place on Monday 18 September and our Trust was delighted to have been awarded ‘Highly Commended’ for Follow My Lead in the Learning Disability Initiative of the year category.

Follow My Lead is an award-based training scheme which is aimed at services supporting individuals with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD). The scheme focusses on enhancing the communication and the quality of life for people living with PMLD.

It was a result of co-production with input from the Hull PMLD focus group which is made up of parents, carers and professionals who support individuals with PMLD. The scheme is funded collaboratively by Hull City Council, City Health Care Partnership and our Trust.

Our Trust is incredibly proud of the work teams have put into this scheme and are pleased it has been recognised by the HSJ Patient Safety Awards. Congratulations to all involved!
