Carol Concert 2024

The Trust held its annual Christmas Carol service on Thursday 12 December in the Lecture Theatre at Trust HQ. The service was led by Trust Chaplain Eve Rose, with readings delivered by members of the Executive Management team and Trust Chair.

Following an introduction from Eve Rose, our Chief Executive Michele Moran delivered a reading from the Bible, before attendees joined together to sing the first song of the service.

Songs sang at the event included the more traditional, beginning with ‘Away In A Manager’ and ending with ‘We Wish You A Merry Christmas’. There were also more modern classics on the song list, such as ‘Jingle Bells’ and ‘Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer’ - ensuring there was something for everyone in attendance.

The service was open to all Trust staff, providing an opportunity to come together and celebrate the Christmas period with a variety of carols, songs and thought-provoking readings. Many members of staff joined to take part and share in the festivities.

One highlight of the event was the presentation of the Trust’s poetry competition winner. Susan George shared her poem, ‘NHS Christmas’, which delivered a poignant and heartfelt message about the Trust’s vital role in supporting those in need during the Christmas period.
