Celebrating positive feedback in Primary Care

Published: 01 January 0001

We would like to take a moment to acknowledge the positive feedback received by our Primary Care teams for April to May 2022.

This feedback has been gathered through our data collection systems, including our Friends and Family Test (FFT), Engage Consult, and You Said, We Did.

From April to May 2022, we received an overall satisfaction score of 91% from our Primary Care service users. This figure is taken from a total of 1,596 FFT responses, meaning that 1,451 people submitted positive comments and feedback to our services.

Some examples of positive feedback include:

“Would like to say a massive thank you to the nurse who saw me for making me feel so at ease, I was so nervous and emotional, and she calmed me.”

“Friendly helpful and reassuring staff, good care from doctors and health care staff.”

“Really pleasant doctor made me feel welcome. I left feeling I will get my problem sorted.”

“Excellent!! Felt valued, listened to, not rushed. All possible options of treatment discussed and a plan in place moving forward.”

“The nurse was kind, reassuring and understanding. She gave me the time I needed. The appointment didn't feel rushed.”

As always, we value all of the comments we receive, even if they are not positive. All comments are reviewed and passed on to the relevant teams. Some of the constructive criticism we received during this time included:

“I did not get into my appointment until 35 minutes after my appointment time.”

“Would have preferred face to face discussion but I do appreciate the problems faced by the NHS services.”

“Doctor was not clear as what to do next luckily receptionist gave me helpful advice and what to do and who to contact.”

We hope our service users feel assured that these comments are taken on board by our teams and that your feedback truly helps us continue to develop our services.

Our Primary Care services encompass our eight GP Practices – two in Hull and six in the East Riding of Yorkshire.

Thank you to our Primary Care teams for the brilliant work that you do, we hope you can take a moment to feel proud of these results. A great start to 2022/23.
