An introduction to Doff Pollard, Our Governor for Whitby

Read our fifth Governor profile as part of our monthly Humber Happenings Newsletter, this month, we take a look at Doff Pollard, one of our Governors for Whitby.

"I wanted to ensure that Whitby Hospital and the Whitby community were represented at the Trust during the period of refurbishment of Whitby Hospital. The services provided from this hub are very important to me and many people with the town and surrounding area. I felt I had benefited hugely from the services and wanted to find a way to give back.

I have a background in community engagement both in the arts and within the rural community sector. I have worked in charities and local government. I spend time making stained glass windows and taking part in community activities as a participant, volunteer and Trustee."
