Appointed Governors
Cllr Linda Chambers
After working in the NHS for a number of years, and in my current role as Portfolio Holder for Adults Services and Public Health, I think I can use the skills and knowledge I have picked up along the way to help make a difference to how local healthcare services are provided.
I have been a Councillor for 14 years. I was elected to represent Drypool Ward in January 2009. During that time I have served on a number of Scrutiny commissions, the Health and Wellbeing Board, Hull and Goole Port Health Authority, Humberside Combined Fire Authority and the Licensing Committee. In May 2022 I was appointed as Cabinet Member responsible for Adults Services and Public Health.
Emma Dallimore
MIND Voluntary Sector
Why I stood for election as a Governor:
As Chief Executive of Hull and East Yorkshire (HEY) Mind, I am deeply committed to ensuring our communities have access to appropriate, high-quality mental health services. Through my role, I have gained first-hand insight into the challenges and opportunities within mental health care and the vital importance of collaboration between organizations. HEY Mind works closely with the Trust, delivering essential services and advocating for those we support. As a governor, I bring a unique and informed perspective to the table, rooted in my extensive experience and understanding of the Trust’s work and the needs of the communities we serve.
More about me (for example, job, interests, hobbies):
In addition to my role as Chief Executive of HEY Mind, I am also the Director of a company that provides support to individuals with complex mental health needs. This experience has further deepened my understanding of the challenges faced by those accessing care and the importance of innovative, person-centered approaches. I also serve as a trustee for another Mind charity in a different part of the country, which gives me a broader perspective on mental health provision nationwide.
Outside of my professional commitments, I enjoy spending time with friends and exploring the natural beauty of the Peak District through walking.
Cllr Jonathan Owen
Appointed by East Yorkshire Council, I bring extensive experience with the Trust, having engaged with it through various council responsibilities over the years.
As a former Leader and Deputy Leader of East Riding Council, I’ve also chaired the East Riding Health and Wellbeing Board and served as Vice Chair for the Humber and North Yorkshire ICP. Outside of work, I enjoy photography, gardening, and making memories with my grandchildren.
