An acute treatment unit for working age adults who are experiencing mental health difficulties.

The Team

Mill View Court is a fifteen-bedded mixed sex treatment unit for adults experiencing acute mental health difficulties. The team consists of a diverse range of professionals; including expertise from psychiatry, social work, occupational therapy and psychology; enabling the care provided to be holistic and person centred. Mill View court offers a timetable of activities including gardening, walking groups, cooking, arts and crafts, and mindfulness, with an emphasis on relapse prevention and support with recovery. Our model of care focuses on reducing conflict and containment and promoting positive therapeutic relationships between staff and patients; to establish a peaceful environment for recovery. We aim to work collaboratively with service users, family and carers to develop care plans and we liaise with appropriate community services to ensure robust support following discharge.

The layout of the ward includes en-suite facilities for each bedroom, a communal lounge and activity room, along with female only and male only lounges and a courtyard garden area.   Visiting times are Monday-Friday 18:00-20:00hours and Saturday-Sunday 14:00-16:00 and 18:00-20:00
